Accommodate hot-standby redundant SRT stream to operator NOS

GRIDSHOT® cooperates with operators to facilitate the secure delivery (contribution) of television streams around the globe. GRIDSHOT® has cooperated with NOS, a Portuguese operator to implement the contribution of TV channels through SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol. GRIDSHOT® contacted NOS in August 2020 for the implementation of SRT contribution of TV channels. NOS has 1,6 million connected television households in Portugal. GRIDSHOT® assisted NOS in the setup and established a hot-standby redundancy connection through the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol from the cloud to the NOS MCR.

In conjunction with both the SRT Alliance and operators we make it possible to use the (hot-standby) SRT protocol as a reliable, secure and relatively low-cost contribution protocol for TV channels to be delivered globally over the open internet.

From anywhere in the world we can accommodate a hot-standby redundant SRT streams from our equally redundant playout solution. In addition we can assist TV channels by increasing their distribution potential by connecting these with operators like NOS for the secure delivery of television streams worldwide over the open internet.
